Looking Back Down Memory Lane

Hello Connect Balance Grow Tribe

I am back in Adelaide for this weekend. Daniel & I are attending the 50th Anniversary of the Eastern Suburbs State Emergency Service Unit. We met each other while we were volunteering with the service, we had one of the unit vehicles as a wedding car & we still catch up with the crew when we come back to Adelaide. I am looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow afternoon.

So much has changed in my life since I was a member. I’ve had my two beautiful girls, stumbled my way through motherhood, found my love for learning, practicing & teaching energy work, moved interstate, re-established my community & tribe & of course started & grown Connect Balance Grow. Volunteering with the SES was one of those things that at the time I didn’t really give much thought to but has played a really big part in allowing me to learn how to serve & hold space for others who were experiencing a difficult situation. It also showed me how important it is be part of a team & how to surrender & trust. These skills are invaluable with the work that I now do. I worked really hard during this time of my life but we also played pretty hard too which was a great form of release, & hey, I’m not sure if I would have even met Daniel if I hadn’t decided that I needed to give back to & find a sense of community in some way.

This week in clinic has been so enjoyable. Monday I got to teach my first Reiki 3 course to the beautiful Belinda. Belinda is an amazing practitioner in many other modalities & has been learning Reiki with me right from Level One. Reiki has been an amazing addition to her healing tools & I am so grateful that I have been able to support her with her learning. I can’t wait to see the magic she will continue to bring into this world as a Reiki Master. I also had a powerful session with a client as we began to clear & balance some really deep grief that had begun to manifest in some really challenging physical symptoms. We still have a lot more work to do but I am so proud of the progress we have made so far. Sometimes there is no quick fix & I am in awe of my clients that continue to show up for themselves to do the healing work that the need to.

Enjoy the rest of your Friday & be fantastically kind.

Have a great weekend.
